A €7.5 million willing lottery ticket has been sold to a lucky punter from Co. Tipperary. The ticket, which scooped the multi-million euro jackpot was sold in the Eason’s Store in Thurles Shopping Centre, Thurles on Tuesday.
Owner of the Eason Tom O’Toole said they were delighted with the win and hoped the lucky punter might be someone local. He said: “The lottery has been down with bunting and balloons. “We are all on the lookout for a customer who might come in today with an extra smile. “We are delighted for the person who has won – and it’s a lot of money. “We’ve had a customer share the winning Lotto numbers six or seven years ago but this is a lot of money to win. “We are in a shopping centre and there’s a general buzz about customers in the mall when they find out.
“It would be really great if it was someone local too, that would add to the happiness. “We are all really just delighted and wish whoever has won well.”
