Western Australians, it’s that time of the week again: check your lotto tickets! Lotterywest has revealed one lucky local has taken out a $3 million share in Saturday Lotto’s $21 million Superdraw, and the prize is still unclaimed.
The WA tickets was one of seven division one prize winners sold nationally, and the winners look set to take home a cool $3 million each. The State’s winning ticket was sold at Leeming Lottery Centre & Newsagency, and is WA’s 54th division one winner for 2017.
The winning numbers were 13, 38, 17, 40, 44 and 1. The supplementary numbers were 22 and 31.
Lotterywest spokeswoman Chloe Lawler said the luck didn’t stop there, with almost 186,500 other WA locals taking home a prize in Saturday’s Superdraw
“That includes 23 locals who pocketed over $10,000 each in Division 2 prize money,” she said.
For those WA punters who didn’t have any luck, Ms Lawler said they would have another chance to win big next week when the $15 million OZ Lotto jackpot goes up for grabs on Tuesday.
The $3 million win comes after a Waikiki woman “accidentally purchased” a lotto ticket which won her more than $33,000 in last week’s draw.
“We actually stuffed up and bought the wrong ticket – we’d never heard of Super66 before and even thought about returning it,” she said.
“$33,000 later we’re glad we didn’t.”
